Just about time to board our plane and travel abroad, but definitely had a fun time in Boston today maximizing our layover!

When booking our trip we stumbled upon a great deal on flights and the only downside was close to a six hour layover in Boston. We decided it was a good way to have a quick visit in one of our favorite downtowns before kicking off the rest of our trip and save a bit on airfare.

Upon our noon arrival we headed out of the airport to The Lawn on D to enjoy some time swinging then headed to Harpoon Brewery to grab their amazing homemade pretzels (made from the leftover yeast in the beer making process) and obviously had to sample some beers. Bryan loved his flight of IPAs with “Hoppy Adventure” (seems appropriate for the start of a new trip) being his favorite while I gave the UFO Wheat/White Ale flight a go.  With a little time left before we headed back to BOS, we made a stop at Legal Seafood where I HAD to indulge in a fresh cup of chowder and Bryan was thrilled to order some fresh scallops. With full bellies, we’re feeling a little sleepy (mission accomplished) to hopefully catch some ZzzZ’s on the flight to avoid jetleg tomorrow.

I’ll report back tomorrow from London! Gnight (hopefully)!
